• National Literacy & Numeracy Test (LANTITE)

    • All initial primary and secondary teacher education students must sit and pass the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students (the test). The test is an online assessment that examines aspects of an individual’s personal literacy and numeracy skills. Passing the test demonstrates that a student has been assessed as being in the top 30 per cent of the adult population for personal literacy and numeracy.
       
      The NSW Education Standards Authority requires all initial teacher education students to pass the literacy and numeracy test long before their final professional experience placement.
