Specific learning objectives

Students should:

  1. List important differential diagnosis of a patient who has presented with ulcers
  2. Identify the aetiology of leg ulcers
  3. Gauge current health status of patient by performing a focused but thorough examination
  4. Identify appropriate investigation to evaluate an ulcer
  5. Demonstrate the basic principles of management of an ulcer.

  1. Demonstrate the skills of appropriate history taking
  2. Demonstrate the skills of a vascular examination
