Specific learning objectives
Students should:
- Demonstrate the skills of identifying common lung pathology
- List important differential diagnosis on a patient who is suffering with dyspnoea and cough
- Identify the aetiology of lung cancer and the progress of the disease by taking a focused history
- Gauge current health status of patient by performing a focused but thorough examination
- Identify imaging modalities and further investigations to rule out differential diagnoses
- Demonstrate the basic principles of management of lung cancer including medical and surgical managements.
Skills mastered
Students should:
- Demonstrate the skills of respiratory examination
- Demonstrate the skills of interpreting respiratory examination findings
- Demonstrate the skills of interpreting CXR, chest CT.
