- Demonstrate the basic principles of post-op management of a mastectomy
- Demonstrate an understanding of the options for reconstructive breast surgery
- Demonstrate the basic principles of management of post-op complications
- Demonstrate the basic principles of postop adjuvant chemo / radio / endocrine management of breast cancer.
Skills mastered
Students should:
- Demonstrate the skills of examining post-op surgical dressing / wound
- Demonstrate effective communication with a post-op patient who has surgical complications.
