Draft Plagiarism Update - June 2019
The Essential Plagiarism & Academic Misconduct
All students must comply with the University’s policy on Plagiarism & Academic Misconduct.
Each time you submit an assignment you will also need to confirm your understanding of these requirements outlined below, your works' accuracy, and that the work is your own.
There are a number of resources designed to help you understand and apply these expectations -

It’s also important to be aware of the expectations around re-submitting your own work in multiple units or when repeating a unit of study.
Note: If you are undertaking the unit again (ie you previously withdrew from the unit after census date or did not pass the unit) – please note the following in relation to assessment tasks. You need written permission from the Unit Coordinator to ‘update’ your assignment based on the previous one you submitted and the supporting document from the Unit Coordinator must be attached with the assignment submission. If you do not receive this permission, you may be deemed to have plagiarised as per the following: “Recycle own work from a graded assessment task – from a failed/withdrawn Unit attempt”. If you do not receive this permission, you must rewrite your assignment and reference the previously submitted assignment where appropriate.
