Patient was BIBA to the Armidale Hospital Emergency Department after falling getting up from her chair in the nursing home. She fell onto her right side and now has excruciating pain in her right hip. She was unable to mobilise. The nursing staff tried to assist her in getting up, but pain was inhibiting this. This was a mechanical fall with no LOC. No other injuries identified with the fall. Since the fall, any movement of the right leg is causing excruciating pain. The pain is only partially relieved by rest.
