Goitre for 1 year, progressively enlarging with no features of tracheal /SVC compression, no change in voice. Symptoms of mild thyrotoxicosis are present, sweating, palpitations, anxiety, losing weight despite increased appetite over a couple of months. But with Rx the symptoms had been reduced. Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology (FNAC) confirmed a thyroid adenoma 2 weeks ago. With thyroid status brought back to euthyroid levels, the patient is planned for a total thyroidectomy. |
