Grounded Theory

Arguably you could say there are 5 main types/movements in Grounded Theory and innumerable variations.

  • Original Grounded Theory (Barney Glaser and Anselm Strauss, 1967).
  • Glaserian Grounded Theory (Glaser)
  • Straussian Grounded Theory (Strauss and Corbin)
  • Hybrid version(s) (many manifestations)
  • Constructivist Grounded Theory (Charmaz, 2006).
