Science by Doing

Science by Doing curriculum units are made of three distinct parts which work together to deliver rich learning experiences. The three parts making up each curriculum unit are:

  • Student Guide - The Student Guide (pdf ~ 25MB) is designed as a reference for students. It contains instructions for each activity as well as stimulus questions and images.
  • Student Digital - The Student Digital is a web-based resource for students. It includes interactive activities and video and audio clips.
  • Teacher Guide - The Teacher Guide is a collection of teaching notes and information to assist teachers.

Science ASSIST is a new and innovative national online advisory service for school science educators and technicians. Science ASSIST has two expert national advisory teams with extensive, collective experience across all areas of science. It is these teachers and school laboratory technicians who will help with your enquiry.

STEMCrAfT Project: Capacity building for teachers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics

STEMCraft is

  • building capacity for STEM teachers,
  • by using a peer support model and the STEM Framework, a tool designed to assist teacher analysis, critique and evaluation of STEM resources.
  • with a focus on regional, rural and remote teachers of STEM.
