Network maintenance 8:00pm tonight (25 March 2020) for 10 minutes

There will be urgent network maintenance tonight at 8:00pm for a period of 10 minutes. While Moodle will remain available during this period, the authentication server will be unavailable for new logins.

We apologise for this inconvenience.

Moodle has been successfully upgraded (Saturday, 6th February - 11am)

UNE Moodle was successfully upgraded to version 3.9. It is now available and ready to use.

The new version has new features and important bug fixes. Short tours will display in several places here there have been changes. you can also find out about new features for students here and staff here.

Moodle Mobile App - unavailable from 1st January 2021

From 1st January 2021, the iPhone/Android Moodle app can no longer be used to connect to UNE's Moodle site.

UNE doesn't recommend the use of the mobile app, but if you have installed it and are using it to access UNE's Moodle, please access Moodle via a browser window at https://mylearn.une.edu.au in the new year.

An updated app will be made available for Trimester 1. Watch this space for more info about the new app in 2021.

Moodle changes - Monday, 19th October

From Monday, 19th October (the same day T3 units become available), you will see some changes and improvements to the Moodle layout and navigation. You will also notice an improved text editor for forum posts etc.

We hope you find Moodle easier to navigate around and less "cluttered" compared to previous teaching periods, but if you do come across any issues or have any feedback or suggestions, please contact us on lerenewalproject@une.edu.au.

Moodle unavailable - Friday, 17th July, 11pm - Saturday, 18th July, 3am

Due to maintenance, Moodle will be unavailable for four hours overnight this Friday, 17th July from 11pm to Saturday, 18th July, 3am.

New Moodle Dashboard - Tuesday, 23rd June

From Tuesday, 23rd June, students will see an updated Moodle dashboard.

All units you have access to will be listed as a series of tiles and are sorted into tabs for current “In progress” units as well as “Past” and “Future” units.

The new dashboard also includes a “Timeline” tab which displays key activities across all units students (or staff) are enrolled in.

LinkedIn Learning - 3 months pilot

LinkedIn Learning (previously Lynda.com) is a collection of video courses taught by industry experts in software, creative, and business skills. UNE is trialling LinkedIn Learning in the first half of 2020 and has licenses available for UNE students. During the trial you have full access to all LinkedIn Learning videos and courses to develop your skills – whether that’s in technical areas (eg Excel, programming), employability skills (eg, resume writing) or a new hobby (eg how to play the ukulele)

Echo360 - blank page with older browsers

Blank page when accessing Echo360 lecture recording?

A recent update to Echo360 caused some older versions of browsers to be unsupported and show blank pages when you try to access lecture recordings.

The latest versions of Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari and MS Edge work well. Internet Explorer is not recommended.

If you are having issues, please update your browser to the latest version and/or switch to a different (supported) browser and try again.

If the problems persist, please contact the IT Service Desk (https://une.service-now.com) and if you already have an open ticket – please let them know if the above steps have resolved the problem

Welcome to Trimester 1

Trimester 1 units open in preparation for the start of teaching on 2nd March.

Please be aware that until teaching officially starts, teaching staff may not be available to answer your enquiries, and content for some units may continue to be added as the trimester progresses.

Important Trimester 1 dates

Online unit sites open: 24 February
Teaching commences: 2 March
Exam timetable with your exam details published: 22 March
Last day to withdraw without HECS/Financial liability from a Trimester 1 unit: 23 March
Last date to withdraw from a Trimester 1 unit without failure: 4 May

Assistance for Bushfire Affected Students

The current bush fire crisis has impacted a great number of people across Australia, and our thoughts are with all those who are affected.

The University is committed to supporting any student who has been affected to minimise, as far as possible, any negative impact on your study.

In addition to the usual processes, UNE has put in place arrangements to accommodate students who have been adversely affected.
