- Need to remove 2025 dates and add 2026 student ready deadline
How-to:
UPDATES
How?
The Email - An email heralding the arrival of the new trimester - and the need to start planning for exams - is sent from the Coordinator, Exams & eAssessment to all Unit Coordinators (via the allcoordinators mailing list) prior to the start of teaching. This email asks that Unit Coordinators of units that have an exam in upcoming teaching period, or have a deferred exam from a previous teaching period, complete an 'Exam Request' survey that will be sent in the following week. This email also includes all of the key dates, including the all-important 'student-ready' date that exams need to be ready for the Exams team for final configuration.
The Support Email - In the second week of teaching, an email is sent to all Unit Coordinators of units that are listed in the UNE Course Handbook as having a centrally-managed supervised exam to ask if they need assistance creating their exam (i.e. the questions you intend to ask students). If you need help with your exam, this is the time to ask!
The Student-Ready Deadline - The 'Student-Ready' Deadline falls approximately four weeks before the start of the Peak Exam Period. This is the deadline by which unit Coordinators must have their exams (including all the questions they want to ask of students) ready in the Learning Management System ready for students to attempt. After this point, the content of the exam should not be edited or adjusted by teaching staff. The Exams and eAssessment team configure this final version of the exam with our exam supervision provider, ProctorU, and conduct their final checks to ensure a smooth experience for students and staff during the Peak Exam Period
*Exams can be held at nearly any time, but should be avoided in the first few weeks of teaching. Holding exams too early in the teaching period (e.g. before Census date) gives students insufficient time to prepare (e.g. to attempt the Try-It-Out exam, and rectify any issues with their hardware and internet connection in time for the real exam) and insufficient time for the Exams and eAssessment team to arrange exam supervisors and configure all the necessary online settings.
TIMELINE - Has 2025 Dates. Update or hide? Need to talk to Steph - remove SRD.
Permitted Materials - Update to 'resources'
Something about using online resources? Still no second screen, so pushing it seems like more problems for students.
Permitted to create hand-drawn diagrams/answers - NO INFORMATION AT PRESENT>
Add something about unsupervised upload is the only way. Not recommended for academic integrity reasons.
Add calculator options
What if you want to schedule an exam before the Peak Exam Period?
If you want to schedule an exam during the teaching period (e.g. a mid-trimester exam), it is essential to contact the Exams and eAssessment team as early as possible to ensure adequate time for exam arrangements. A minimum notice period of six weeks is required for any exam. There are a number of actions the Exams and eAssessment team must complete in order to offer students a supervised online exam, along with providing students enough time to be well prepared.
If you have not responded to the Exams and eAssessment team survey or made contact with the team prior to the start of trimester, you should contact them urgently via olxforstaff@une.edu.au to notify them of your preferred:

A site created for the Leading and Managing at UNE course 2018.
The site has been created to house some of the training and examples of effective communication at UNE to enhance people's leadership skills as well as their general communication styles. It is a draft at this stage so, if it is required, more will come.

This unit is concerned with preparing you to teach Personal Development, Health and Physical Education in the Primary School. There is a CD with most of the materials located on it - plus there will be regular podcasts and ppt slides to assist your learning and to parallel, where possible, the internal delivery of this unit. Please read your materials, be aware of the Mandatory Intensive School requirements 27-30th April 2011 inclusive, the orientation to coaching course or alternative and the two assessment items. A frequently asked questions file will be attached to this site early in January 2011. I am looking forward to meeting you all! Judy Miller

A collaboration program/cadetship program is an arrangement between UNE FMH and selected facilities and Local Health Districts that allows a local student to receive a percentage of the remainder of there placements with the 1 facility and or Local Health District.
What are the benefits for a student?
If you are approved into a collaboration program you will receive ideally 60-70% of the remainder of your placements with the 1 facility and or within the chosen Local Health District. This will save you expenses instead of travelling NSW far and wide for placements and it is also a great way for you to prove yourself to the agency or LHD as to your work ability in hopes for future employment with them.
What are the benefits for facilities?
The facilities will get to have local students doing placements with them and in turn if students prove themselves during placements they may also offer students employment during your course of study and or even after your course in regard to New Grad opportunities- this will all come down to what workforce opportunities the site has at the time. (not always guaranteed though)
Points to note:
Not all facilities will have the capacity to host you for every placement due to the size of the facility and as per requirements you are still required to attend placements that meet your unit of study - if the site cannot give you a specific placement, in this instance you will need to preference as per normal process (for example- not all sites will have a Community Health or Mental Health ward). If you are granted a spot within a collaboration program or cadetship you will receive a placement progression plan which outlines a plan for your future placements, if you differ from this plan due to any reason, for example- failed a unit, withdrew from a unit - you may be withdrawn from the collaboration program.

Many UNE Students have the option of undertaking a variety of overseas study options as part of their course.
This moodle site will explain:
who can go; different options available; at what point in AN award can students study overseas; for how long; and, where you might be able to go.
Once students have read the initial information, and have made a choice, they can then apply online for their choice of overseas study program.
