HPC

The patient had their biopsy with no complications and has attended the outpatient clinic as instructed to receive the histopathology results. The patient has a squamous cell carcinoma of the superior sulcus of the right lung, also known as a Pancoast tumour, which is compressing T1 nerve roots and the sympathetic chain resulting in these symptoms. The patient will likely require surgical excision of the tumour, but will undergo further staging investigations first.
