Resources and strategies to help you flourish as a student

Counselling and Psychological Services - This service offers a free, short-term, confidential counselling service with a qualified psychologist available for all students, to discuss challenges that may be impacting on your study.
Urgent Mental Health Support Line - ph. 1300 661 927, txt. 0488 884 169
This service provides after-hours support for UNE students on weekdays 4.00pm to 9.00am AEST, weekends and public holidays.
Student Accessibility and Wellbeing Office - We create an inclusive learning environment to support students in overcoming barriers to tertiary education. This includes students living with learning difficulties, long-term illness, injuries, disability, students who are carers, survivors of domestic violence, rural and remote students, and incarcerated students. We also support students on permanent humanitarian visas, and students who are members of the defense force and emergency services, and elite athletes.
The Outreach Team - available throughout your studies to offer guidance, assist you in accessing information, supports and services, and celebrate your progress. If you would like to discuss any of the resources below in relation to your academic goals, strengths, and experiences, you are welcome to book a call with our team. We are interested in hearing from and working with you to achieve success.

This service provides assessment and therapeutic services to the general community and to UNE staff and students. Fees apply for assessments.
UNE Student Grievance Unit - This unit manages complaints, compliments and feedback from students, with access to complaints form, and a 24/7 anonymous complaints via Grapevine.

Ally Network (UNE) - Established in 2022, the UNE Ally Network is a group of staff and students who are committed to making UNE a welcoming and inclusive environment for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. The Network is open to all current staff and students of UNE.
REACHOUT.COM - This web-based service provides supports and services to help people understand sexuality and gender, including National and State-based services and events.

Queerspace - Offers a holistic approach in addressing issues faced by LGBTQIA+ communities and take a public health approach to our work. Services include individual, relationship and whole-of-family counselling, parenting support groups, self-advocacy and more.
Queerspace Youth - A peer-led program for Queer, Trans, Intersex, Gender Diverse or questioning people aged 18-25 years old. International Student Hotline - 1300 363 079 - International students can call this number if experiencing difficulties with safety, study, accommodation or work matters. This support line is open from Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, and operated by the federal Department of Education. -

First Year and Academic Advisors - Assistance to promote independent learning and success in both general academic skills and discipline-specific studies.
Library Support - Librarians are available to help you with advanced research strategies and advice.Oorala's Targeted Tutorial Assistance Program - seeks to support the success of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Tutors offer individual or group tutoring sessions which can help you to transition to university life, create positive study habits, get organised with your assessments and exam revision, and build confidence.
PASS@UNE - offers weekly, out-of-class, peer facilitated study sessions to undergraduate students. PASS supports students to develop independent study skills, deepen their understanding of course content and make friends along the way.Studiosity - free online study help. Get feedback on your writing within 24 hours or chat live with a subject specialist.
Study Gym (CAPS) - In these sessions, a counsellor can help you identify areas of your studying techniques which may benefit from adjustment. These sessions can cover everything from exam preparation to avoiding procrastination and are personally tailored to your needs.Please look into these further to see if they are available in your school or faculty.
