ITD will be performing maintenance on UNE's IT systems and servicesthis Saturday, 13th May 2017. This full-day maintenance will commence at 6am and will be completed by 6pm.
As a result, most services will experience periods of disruption.
For staff and on-campus students:
Network upgrades have been scheduled for W37, W38, W39 (School of Law and UNE Business School) and E11 (Arts, Humanities and Social Science) between 6am and 6pm. During this time wired and wireless network access will not be available in those areas.
For other areas not listed above, staff should expect intermittent outages as systems are restarted following maintenance updates. Network connections as well as internet access will be unavailable in different locations across campus during the day.
For off-campus students:
-
Moodle and student email should NOT be affected. No work is planned on Moodle. However, we recommend that you download any materials (such as readings and lecture recording) you require over the weekend to your local system to make sure you have access in case of any on-campus network outages or disruptions that affect connections to local systems. If access via MyUNE is not available, please access your units directly in Moodle (http://mylearn.une.edu.au)
-
Student Email (Office365 emails @myune.edu.au) should be available throughout the day.
-
The EZProxy system, which manages access to online library journals, will be unavailable for a brief period early in the day. If you do require access to library journals, please download the materials prior to Saturday’s maintenance.
This event is one of ITD’s scheduled maintenance windows, during which essential work is carried out to enhance and improve University systems. The schedule of maintenance windows for 2017 can be found on the ITD website (http://www.une.edu.au/staff-current/staff-services/it-services/it-maintenance-dates ). Please check these dates before planning any events that may require IT services or support.
Service Desk support will be available during the weekend - please contact servicedesk@une.edu.au or http://une.service-now.com if you are experiencing problems after the maintenance outage.
